Rocket Moves in 1998
There are a few other questions I have. Why did Rodrick Rhodes get so much playing time in the first half or so of the season when he was playing terribly? Then just as he's beginning to show some sort of life and blend with the team on the court, he gets ZERO playing time for the rest of the season. Who's great idea was that? Yeah, he was a BIG help in the playoffs. (sarcastically stated) What did he need REST?? The other thing is Brent Price. Who's DUMB idea was it to get this guy in the first place? He was injury ridden before becoming a Rocket and has been injury plagued since. What a WASTE of money. Why didn't we cut him before this year started? Another thing, why did we resign Charles Jones? Couldn't we have gotten someone from the CBA or Chucky Brown or something? Geez, I like the guy, but come on. He can barely MOVE. Don't worry Hakeem Olajuwon will be back with a vengence this year.
*(Rhodes is no longer our problem. Keeping Mack is. I hope we find a way to keep him. He is a good 3pt shooter, and isn't a liability on the defensive side of the ball. Brent Price.... ya know, I actually started to like the guy. He was having a very good year. But, everyone knows what happened. He got hurt. It wasn't a serious injury, but it just reminded me of who he was. I think getting rid of Price and Maloney should be our #1 priorty during the offseason. I've heard a ton of complaining about Hakeem at Clutch City Online. I agree that he's lost a step, but I don't think anyone can argue that he's still one of the best centers in the league. The guy led the team in FG%, scoring, and blocks. He was second on the team in rebounding and steals. He didn't score or rebound quite as well as I thought he would, but then again the entire team was in different stages of disarray throughout the season.)
